Who we are and what we do….
The Friends has been set up in order to give the church a fighting chance to remain within our community, and we would very much welcome your help and commitment to save our beautiful church, St. John the Baptist.
The cost of maintaining and repairing the building and church yard has become too much for the small regular congregation. We receive NO FINANCIAL HELP from the Chelmsford Diocese.
Hence we have successfully launched a registered charity – “Friends of Pebmarsh Church” to raise funds solely to preserve and repair the fabric of the building, and grounds for the benefit of future generations to come. St. John the Baptist Church has diligently served our village for centuries. It’s now time for us to save our church.
